Lila McCann, the 19 year old country music sensation, will open the Monroe County Fair with a single performance on Wednesday, August 1, at 9:15 PM on the Wegmans Heritage Village Stage. Presented by WBEE Radio 92.5, this concert will be free with admission to the fair. Preferred seating tickets are available at Wegmans Video Departments for $7 which includes fair admission. McCann's hit singles include, I Wanna Fall in Love, Down Came a Blackbird, Almost Over You, With You, and Crush.

Lila headlines American Heritage Showcase.

McCann?s performance on the Heritage Stage is part of ?American Heritage Showcase Day? in Heritage Village at the Monroe County Fair. Carrying out that theme are performances earlier in the day by the Black Mountain Cloggers, whose dance form evolved from a combination of early Appalachian-style dancing, Irish and Canadian step dancing, Tennessee Flatfooting and American tap; the American fiddling music of Fiddlesticks; and the line dancing of Denim and Lace. Opening for Lila McCann is Carpe DM, a local R&B group, whose smooth vocals, reminiscent of Boyz II Men, warm the soul.

A Gold Circle ticket includes fair general admission
and guarantees the ticket holder to a seat in front of the Wegmans Heritage Stage during the Lila McCann Show.

Upon entering the fair, patrons who've purchased Gold Circle Seats may exchange their Gold Circle Ticket Voucher for a numbered Gold Circle Badge at the WBEE booth in Heritage Village starting at 4:00pm, August 1, 2001. The BADGE NUMBER represents the patron's seat number in the Gold Circle area. At 7:30pm, prior to the Carpe Diem Performance, The Gold Circle Area will be made available for seating.

If you choose general admission, think about a Family Four Pack.

The Fair is also offering Family 4 Packs, which include admissions for 2 adults, 2 children, 2 all day ride wristbands, and 2 buy one/get one free fair Coca Cola coupons. Family 4 Packs are available at local Wegmans Video Departments starting July 1 at a cost of $26, an $10 savings. Again, general admission to the Lila McCann concert is free with fair admission.
